My current work celebrates motherhood. My son George, who has just turned 5 years old, is a wonderful, energetic boy and my main muse. I am gripped, as I imagine all mothers are, with his curiosity and expression. My art addresses the daily interactions mothers have with their children and the universal questions of motherhood. My paintings do not take a realistic interpretation of my son; I capture the essence of unfettered energy found in his playful growth.
